WILL THE CEREMONY BE OUTSIDE?
yes! please bring a light jacket/sweater just in case it’s chilly.
if it’s raining, we’ll move indoors.
WHAT’S THE DRESS CODE? INDIAN OR WESTERN?
wear whatever you’re most comfortable in.
dress comfortably (smart casual) for the welcome dinner.
cocktail attire (suits and cocktail dresses) or indian formal for the wedding.

ANY OTHER PLACES TO STAY YOU’D RECOMMEND?
we particularly like the palace hotel (it’s beautiful),
and the kabuki (it’s by japantown, which is a nice neighborhood and by where we live).
there aren’t many hotels near the wedding venue, most hotels are downtown.
mileage can vary a lot with airbnbs in sf. they’re not usually cheaper, just bigger.
WILL THERE BE PARKING AVAILABLE?
there will be parking available at the wedding venue.
please plan to arrive early if you need to park.
parking at the hotel and in the city can be limited & expensive.
WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO GET AROUND?
CARS:
ubers and lyfts are widely available and the fastest way to get around.
if you get on the waitlist for waymo ahead of time, you can also ride in their self-driving cars.
taxis are rare and more expensive.
if you get a rental car, be aware that the city is hilly, parking is expensive, & never to leave valuables in the car.
BIKES & SCOOTERS:
bikeshare lyft bikes are available throughout the city (including e-bikes great for hills).
electric scooters are also a great option for short distances. you can reserve them in the uber app.
PUBLIC TRANSIT:
you will need a clipper card for any public transit option.
you can get one on your phone in apple wallet & google pay.
using a clipper card requires you to tap your phone/card against a reader before/when getting on.
MUNI is the local bus and train system within SF and a good public transport option.
BART and caltrain are the public transit systems to get you around the larger bay area.
HOW SHOULD WE GET TO & FROM THE WEDDING VENUE?
we’re looking into organizing a shuttle between the westin & the wedding venue.
please let us know in the RSVP if you’d be interested in that option.
otherwise, it’s best to take a car.

yes! we will have a variety of options to meet a variety of dietary needs.
